Category: Dry white wine.

Grape: 100% Tocai friulano.

Classification: D.O.C. Friuli Grave.

Production area: Dandolo area foothills in west-central Friuli.

Vineyard yeld: 70-75 hl/ha (3.1-3.3 tons/acre).

Vineyard elevation: 280 m. (920 ft.).

Training system: Sylvoz.

Vine density: 3,800-4,500/ha. (1,540-1,820/acre).

Harvest date: September 15-25.

Production: Crushing and light pressing, overnight cold settling, followed by racking, inoculation with special yeasts, and fermentaion at approx. 16°C (61°F).

Ageing: Four-six months’ sur lies maturation in stainless steel.

Quantity: Approx. 1,250 cases.

Color: Straw-yellow.

Bouquet: Rich nose with pronounced scents of broom blossom and mimosa, and subtler notes of ripe peach.

Palate: Complex structure in the mouth, with a lively, crisp edge; full, rounded flavors, highlighted by green apple and an attractive hint of bitter-almond.

Recommended food: Light antipasti featuring eggs, fish, chicken; with light soups; with most fish, and meats such as veal and chicken.

Serving temperature: 10°-12°C (43°-54°F).
